School Tours

In mid-September through the end of October, Wasem Fruit Farm offers weekday apple tours for daycare and school groups of 20 or more participants. These tours, led by our fun-loving, knowledgeable staff members, are a great educational experience! Students will learn about the farm, growing and raising apples, picking apples, and other fun apple facts.

Each tour includes:
• Taste testing of three varieties of apples
• A visit to the walk-in refrigerator
• A view of apples being sorted on our apple grader or a view of cider being made
• A snack time consisting of a yummy donut and a cup of cider
• A trip to the orchard where students get first-hand experience picking apples
• A 32-page educational apple theme coloring book

In October we offer U-pick pumpkins. Students will be able to pick a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch for an additional fee.

All tours take place between 9am and 5pm, and must be scheduled in advance by calling Wasem Fruit Farm in September at 734-482-2342. A limited number of tours are available.
